![]() ![]() This is, however, part 4 of a series and it's a PG-13 so if you go into this assuming you won't be mind blown than it should be a fun watch. There's plenty of suspense, fantastic imagery and loads of jump scares but an absence of the tension and dread that the Insidious franchise is known for. There's subtle omissions, such as the trademark screechy violins, that leave this movie feeling a little flat and not quite as scary. As for The Last Key, it's a great movie for those who want to see more of Elise, her sidekicks and the demons she battles, but not for those who are looking to enjoy the same style as the previous 3 installments. There are remaining unanswered questions in Insidious 2, but those won't be answered unless there's another chapter added in the future to wrap everything up. Now that this franchise is (seemingly) complete, you could follow the story chronologically by watching Insidious 3, then Insidious 4, then Insidious 1 and finally Insidious 2.
